Housecleaning update

So I have someone good news. Finally figured out how to get my stories posted without using scribd or plugins to look how I write them. So you will finally see the stories the way I see them. Thats very good.

Song of the Gyre is up now. Its the second chronologically in the series. Which leads me to the second bit of housecleaning.  The top menu has always been the primary and side one the secondary. I didn’t quite know what I was doing so they all repeated. I fixed that problem too. The top menu should only have non story items while the side bar will have the stories in chronological order.

That brings me to the third thing. I realized that ‘Christmas Circle’ has been out a year and never made it to the blog. Its there now. It is most current story having been set in 2015.

Thanks to all who voted for Morgan Willett. The margin was 500 people. Never doubt that your vote counts. It did for her.

Song of Betrayal will be up shortly. Thats all for now. Thanks again.

The Gyre and the bikini girl

This will be a brief update to let you all  know where everything is. Today, Song of the gyre is being released to the publishers. It should be available before next week for a dollar. Even though its 4th, its the second chronological book. Its funny that I ended up doing my series like CS lewis did Chronicles of Narnia. (with a different chronological order than printing order).

Since Song of the Gyre directly follows Midnight Train song, I am posting it here as well for you all to read free. I know its been a year since I posted a story here. Sorry about that. Sadly its the last of the Lorelei and Shae stories for a while. I do promise that the arc isn’t finished. You will see both again.

The Christmas story is called ‘A Karmic Karmy Christmas’. While I said Tom and Gwen would be in it, I decided that it would be better without them. It will only include those who were on Faking It!. Yes its set in college, yes it follows my post canon storyline so Tom, Gwen are still involved.

The plot revolves around Amy becoming who she is supposed to be and the challenge that brings. Her and Karma are struggling because Karma is away alot to launch her career and as much as they love each other, being adults is harder than each thought. You again she Amy be the rebellous strong person she is having spirited convos with Shane and Liam about why everything is the way it is.

I will be using my realitys history so don’t be shocked if certain people are dead, doing other things or dont exist. As promised, neither Stein, Clinton, Trump or Johnson will be president. I haven’t picked who is yet, but no it won’t be Jack and Bobby as I mentioned before. I dont have the shows.

Following the completion of thats story is Heartbeat song then Song of Restoration. This should get me through to the end of the year. Heartbeat song is the last of the Taft high stories. Song of Restoration will be the sixth in chronology. I havent decided if it will be the last as there is a final gap of a year before Gwen becomes Taylor Swift’s dark twin. (equal is power, potential, sales and verve).

This leads us to Bikini Girl. She isn’t a character in my novels or on a tv show. She is very much real. Her name is Morgan Willett and she needs your vote. On the reality show Big Brother over the top, she has been playing a mental endurance game with 10 other people including her sister Alex. Over the course of 70 days, they done endurance challenges, puzzles, memory challenges and athletic challenges all with the goal to stay safe for the week or get voted out.

Today is day 69 of 70. She is one of the final three. There are alot of people out there who are supporting a man who was on the show before and failed. A man who had let him mouth get ahead of his skills and who rode others to victory. People want to give him the final prize: $250,000

I believe Morgan deserves it more. She has managed to win safety once and the ability to remove herself from eviction twice. She stayed loyal to her alliance and made friends in ‘the house’ (studio 18 of CBS studio city). She is a mental warrior, loyal, nurturing, beautiful, brilliant and trusting. In one sense, she is alot like Lorelei.

Spirit day and dark night

Happy #spiritday. Thats Hester High the fictional nearly Bully high school that alot of us miss. Nevertheless, Its been a while since I posted last. Sorry about that. Things got away from me. So an update on where everything is.

So in order with a nice numbered list:

1. Center cannot hold became Song of the Gyre. It now directly connects to Midnight Train Song. Only a month has past in time so its October 2006.
2. Other than leaving the orginal football play opening, the rest of the story is new. You get a deeper explanation on who the Warriors of Dagon are. You get a taste who Dagon was. You get a scene of Posideon Celano and how the assembly began.
3. You learn who Coach Sylvan is and why she is important. Also why the resurrection vial would be in her desk drawer.
4. You met those who actually cause the Taft High massacre and some victims.
5. You get cute scenes with Lorelei and Tom at Coupe de monde.

Its almost done. its 24000 words and I will post it here. I will also post Song of Betrayal as well. The problem with it is I can only do that in pdf. Sorry but amazon charges too much for bound books not backed by the big five. Its annoying.

1. After I post Song of the Gyre, I will finish Heartbeat song. Hopefully I can actually publish and market the three books so everyone can see them not just the smattering her that do. If I can, I can. if not then meh.
2. There will be a Christmas story. Its going to be Faking it and will involve them at college and Tom and Gwen. It should be short like Christmas circle.
3. As for Faking it! unless Netflix picks it up its gone. The actors have moved on and the sets etc are gone. One of my goals is still rights for it so I will know about that 2017
4. The Assembly reality does not have the chaos we have for a presidental election because even House of Cards is better that what we got. So if i feel a need to mention the sitting president it will be neither of the four running.
5. I might use Jack & Bobby history (cw show dealing with a president in 2050 when he was a teen. It was when cw was WB) I might not.
6. After those and my life settles then I will get Song of Restotation. I have it setting on my hard drive waiting but it still has the old plot, jen and the old way tom and gwne handle each other. It would not make sense with the new info.

That’s all there is now.

A quick peek:  the founding island of the Assembly was Kerguelen Island in the Southern Ocean. At the time of the assembly, they had figured out Gate travel and massed in the thousands exploring in viking like long boats that were large enough to sail across oceans.

The path forward and behind

As I have worked on this series,  I have discovered several things I have wanted to integrate in. From changing Lorelei from a passive character to the incorporation of Reagan Dawn to the development of Taft high, I have strived to make a better story.

Each story has been better I feel than the last. Holes have been filled. Gaps in the narrative that have been filled with stories that illuminate paths. I feel that each has been a journey that is a destination leading to another.

Yet, as I continue I discovered the is no established order you all know. If you go to Barnes and Noble or Amazon (Sorry, that print bound is so high that’s them not me.)  I have 3 books for sale that are in a specific order. That’s not really the order I wanted, I discovered today.

So here is the order I have settled on. This won’t change. I will make a total of nine books/slash stories. Some won’t be for sale in bound form, others will. The current order is for bound form. So to begin:

First set of three is: Songs of the fall

1. Midnight train song
2. Song of the Gyre
3. Heartbeat Song

These songs revolve around Lorelei. How she mets Tom, her life at Taft High, her opposition and ultimately her sacrifice which is fulfills part of the ‘Restorer of the breach’ prophecy.   Midnight train song is available now. I am currently working on Song of the Gyre. Its a version of the glee fan fic ‘Center cannot hold’ however it doesn’t follow the same plot. Center Cannot hold is a wrapper for episode 2 of glee. This isn’t.

Song of the Gyre deals with Shae Nyx and her opposition of Lorelei because she is jealous of her. She has Kent but treats with contempt. She sees her a queen bitch who has everything and doesn’t care about anyone. Shae figures that if she topples her and steals Kent she will get want she wants.

Lorelie on the other hand, sees Kent as a small minded person polluted by the lies of the warriors of Dagon and needs to separate from him. Its hard because she wants a boyfriend to lean on. When Shae challenges her, she uses that to her own advantage and lets her take Kent. During all this she gets the first sides of the coming attack on the school however she has no clue what part she will play.

HeartBeat Song deals with the actual attack on Taft High. In later books like Song of Betrayal and Homecoming song this is refernced at the Taft High massacre. (which happened 4 days before Virigina Tech making it the worst week for school deaths in US history.) This story starts with Lorelei in first person POV but finishes with Tom’s POV. You see how he meets people he associates with in later novels including Brad from Faking It.

It will be the darkest book I will write. It will detail how truly bad the warriors of Dagon are and how they came to be. It will have some lovecraftian elements in them but I decided that there is no Cthulu in my reality at leats not in the sense of a sentient deity. A sentient being yes. Even the dolphin are sentient in my reality so why not octopi?

I have several pages of it done, but put it on pause to do song of the gyre which I though would simply be an edit of Center cannot hold. It took a life of its own which ultimately is a good thing.

The second set of three: Siren songs

1. Song of Betrayal
2. Song of Restoration
3. Homecoming Song

These set of stories revolve around Gwen who hasn’t been a main character in the first group. In fact, what you see of Gwen is her pre-massacre personality which as mix of grace and raw force. She’s much more aggressive and harsh because she feels everything can be solved with a song.  She has yet to see the error of this path as her mirror, Aria, isn’t in her life yet.

All three of these books have been written. Song of Betrayal and Homecoming Song are available to read now. As for Song Of Restoration, it is awaiting the final edit which I will do once I finish writing HeartBeat Song.

The third set of three: Songs of Hope

I actually haven’t settled on the titles for these yet so I am not going to pull up titles that eventually won’t be used. Nevetheless, these stories will revolve around the fulfillment of the ‘restorer of the breach’ as well as the final end to the warriors of Dagon. You will see Gwen as a successful musician on par with Taylor Swift & Ella Fitgerald. These are also the stories that will reveal the differences between this world and ours.

There are significant differences outside of Gwen’s path and the fact mermaids exist. I have elaborated on several. There are more I haven’t. Once I publish Song of Restoration, I will have a better idea exact what changes are doable without making the general stream hard.

Sadly, ceratin individuals I would like to remove would alter the timeline too much for my taste so I have to leave them be. Others aren’t so lucky. As I have said before, There is no Kayne West, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Justin Beiber or Miley Cyrus in my 2016 for various reasons I have established. All have had opportunies that have led them to success or survival. Flip the coin (rescue the label or apply a little more impact in the car crash) and they aren’t there.

Another example is NWA. Without Gerald E. “Jerry” Heller, they wouldn’t have formed. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam meaning he was drafted in 1958 when he turned 18. If he was killed while serving, there you go. Eazy-E would have founded Ruthless records alone and it wouldn’t have survived. Eventually him and dr. Dre would end up in jail.

As of this point, I haven’t settled on NWA. They don’t interfer with Gwen’s path. I perfer to not deviate if I dont have too. Besides Heller early death doesn’t just affect Eazy-E, it effects  Elton John and Pink Floyd too.

Also, there are several other stories that are outside this group of 9. Like the stories involing Aria’s mother, the ones involving Amy and Karma and those in previous eras. These build the background and bring lit to other areas.

The darkness of a soul that lost its way

When I started this series, I was transitioning from glee fanfiction. I chose to keep the Mckinley shooting because it represented a hard line I could build from. Over time as I moved forward and back, I discovered how horrible that event would be. Today is a reminder of how deep the pain, sorrow, lost, anger, hate and reaction is.

Fifty people who were at a nightclub lost their lives in a brutal shooting by a man filled with hate. Yes, he identified with Islam with hates LGBTIQ passionately. However, those who knew him said that was more him tying himself to Daesh than them doing anything. We call them Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) or ISIS, the s meaning syria, but they are a terrorist group, that kills anyone who disagrees with them. Hell they even detonated a bomb in from for the gravesite of the granddaughter of Mohammad himself.

These fifty people who lost their life weren’t bad people. They didn’t deserve to die. Yet, they did. The cycle continues. Why does it? This is why?

Something needs to change. Our solution is simple:

1. Its not gun control. Guns aren’t the problems. Banning them won’t solve it because we have never had a successful ban. Alcohol? No. We even had a contitutional admendment for that. It was repealed. Drugs? No. Ilicit drug trade is prospering. Why do we think, weapons would work? Its foolish in the extreme. Forcing it would lead to civil war and more bloodshead.
2. However, because we have guns apleanty and the ability to us them we need to be responsible. Like Christine Grimmie was murdered because there were no metal detectors. (and dude was insane). AR-15s have no business in civilian hands period. They don’t need to be sold. Every single one should be trackable, and only in the hands of Law enforcement . (the military already has access, its the m-16) The horrible truth is the man/woman who sold the ar-15 is as guilty of the murders as the gunman is.

The AR-15 is a military and civilian gas-operated rifle that has been produced in many different versions. The term “AR-15” was chosen by Colt for the civilian models it produced after selling the rifle to the US military as the M16 rifle, and many people and references use the term “AR-15” exclusively for civilian models. This article discusses the original design for military users and its major variants, however they are labeled. AR-15 rifles are lightweight, magazine-fed, air-cooled, fire an intermediate cartridge, and are manufactured with extensive use of aluminum alloys and synthetic materials.

The AR-15 was first built in 1959 by ArmaLite as a small arms rifle for the United States armed forces. Because of financial problems, ArmaLite sold the design to Colt. After some modifications, the redesigned rifle was adopted as the M16 rifle. In 1963, Colt started selling the semi-automatic version of the rifle for civilians designated as the Colt SP1. Although the name “AR-15″ remains a Colt registered trademark, variants of the firearm are made, modified, and sold under various names by multiple manufacturers.

Most AR-15 rifles have a barrel threaded in 1⁄2”-28 threads to incorporate the use of a muzzle device such as a flash suppressor, sound suppressor or muzzle brake.^[28] The initial design had three tines or prongs and was prone to breakage and getting entangled in vegetation. The design was later changed to close the end to avoid this problem. Eventually, on the A2 version of the rifle, the bottom port was closed to reduce muzzle climb and prevent dust from rising when the rifle was fired in the prone position.^[29] For these reasons, the US military declared this muzzle device a compensator, but it is more commonly known as the “GI” or “A2” flash suppressor.^[30]

Flash suppressors are designed to reduce the muzzle flash from the weapon to preserve the shooter’s night vision. A flash suppressor does not improve the ballistic performance of a rifle or make it more lethal, but some jurisdictions have banned or severely restrict usage of flash suppressors. In most of these areas, AR-15 shooters have installed muzzle brakes or compensators on their rifles.

The threaded barrel allows sound suppressors with the same thread pattern to be installed directly to the barrel, however this can result in complications such as being unable to remove the suppressor from the barrel.^[31] A number of suppressor manufacturers have turned to designing “direct-connect” sound suppressors which can be installed over an existing flash suppressor as opposed to using the barrel’s threads.

These were the bullets used to kill those people. They can travel a mile and can punch through people like a knife through softened butter.

5.56×45mm NATO compared to .50 Beowulf cartridges.

The 5.56×45mm NATO standard SS109/M855 cartridge was designed for maximum performance when fired from a 508 mm (20.0 in) long barrel, as was the original 5.56 mm M193 cartridge. Experiments with longer length barrels up to 610 mm (24.0 in) resulted in no improvement or a decrease in muzzle velocities for the SS109/M855 cartridge. Shorter barrels produce a greater flash and noise signature, and the addition of a suppressor to a short barreled AR family rifle can make it unreliable, as the reduced time for the propellant to burn in the barrel and higher muzzle pressure levels at the suppressor entrance can cause faster cycling and feeding issues. Unless the gas port can be regulated or adjusted for higher pressures, suppressors for short barreled 5.56×45mm NATO firearms must be larger and heavier than models for standard length rifles to function reliably. SS109/M855 cartridges fired from barrels under about 254 mm (10.0 in) in length do not have enough muzzle velocity energy to cause bullet fragmentation that occurs only at terminal velocities of over 750 m/s (2,500 ft/s) on impact, reducing the wounding capacity.^[26][27]

To be brief, this states that in war theater, the bullets perform substandard because they don’t fragment. They punch through. So why exactly is a weapon that is designed for war theater use available to the general public. Because we let it.

I support NRA and believe in gun use and training. I believe in legal gun purchases and defending out castle. I don’t believe you need a weapon that will fail to yaw and fragment when the bullets pass through only minimal tissue, such as a limb or the chest of a thin, small statured individual, as the bullet will exit the body before it has a chance to yaw and fragment.

So I described why the AR-15 sales need to end.  Now back to other things. Omar hated LBGTQI people. LBGTQI people don’t deserve hate. As a christian, I am commanded to love my fellow brothers and sisters. Paul the apostle wrote in the letter to the corinthian church (using the message bible translation)

“If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.

 If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.

If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

Nowhere did Jesus or the disciples ever say hate anyone especially those who are homosexual. It said that it was a sin. It also said that anything outside of love was also a sin. Finally, it said that the only sin that people could be separated from God was not receieving Jesus.

So i said all of this to be clear, ANYONE who tries to murder others in the name of Jesus or under the banner of christianity isn’t one, and has never been one. I am sure that the moderate muslims would say the same but for them they have a deeper problem. Quran speaks of murdering others for glory. I won’t go into that because this isnt the place for it.

Which brings me to the that last points.

1. MTV is a hypocrite. They speak on twitter of supporting Orlando and the LGBTQI community. However, they don’t. They canceled Faking it. They celebrate Scream.
2. Scream is about murdering teens. Doubt me? Watch it. I did. Its well written, well acted but its horror about murdering teens. Do we really need this? No.
3. If MTV wanted to do something for the community they could do something like HBO did when they were shooting Luck (a show about horse tracks and horse racing). Two horses broke their legs and had to be put down. Rather than handwave it away, they canceled the show. Rating were high for it but they did it anyway. So #killMTVscream
4. I would like anyone who sees this to tweet that. Take all that money and dump it into Faking it. Let carter do a movie to finish the series. Show they actually support LGBTQI .

Finally, about the stories. As I said earlier Faking it is too far forward of my main storyline to be in the current books. I don’t plan on doing anything with the ladies until I finish those. This means, I need to finish Heartbeat song, Song of Restoration, Taiji and Song of the Gyre. That last one is the new title for Center cannot hold as that story is to far as it stands from why my story is now.

To be clear though, Midnight train song is the first book in the series. The current final story is ‘We saw the dream’ which does involve the Tom and Gwen. As does Amy’s journals. I don’t want to post them there because only 2 involve the assembly.

Nevertheless, Heartbeat song will use alot of what happened yesterday. Its my only truly dark book because I need to address the Taft school shooting. Perhaps I can make a change where we can’t.

The hard truth

Hello, everyone. First of all thanks everyone for coming and seeing this page even if its for Faking it and not neccessarily for my stories. My hope is after you see the Faking it items you stay and read the stories and buy them. That’s what we all want, not just me.

This brings me to to Faking it. There is something everyone, including myself has ignored. We all love great stories. We all love our favorite actors and actresses, showwriters and authors. However, they have the need to be paid too. This isn’t going to be a screed about copyright, IP etc. Nope. My beliefs on that subject don’t belong here. Nor do anyone elses.

Over the course of time since I proposed the kickstarter I have done research on it. I discovered several details I will share. Before I do, I need to make something clear that I didn’t before. I can’t lead the charge. Kickstarter needs a person or company to have a bank account on file for the money.You aren’t paying them, you are paying the person who launched in exchange for access, gifts, perks etc.

I don’t want you to pay me.  I honestly don’t want that responsibilty. Plus, I don’t have the time to shepard this. I have very personal life issues that take presedence over this show, over my writing and other things I value. These have to be addressed. So I apologize if I gave the presumption that I would do the kickstarter. The I, ‘I’ meant was the faking family as a whole. Not me.

I wanted you to know it could be done and what to do. So here is what I learned:

1. If Netflix etc doesn’t take on Faking it as a orginal, the only course left is that of self production. This isn’t simply hard. Its monumentally hard for someone who isn’t in the industry. There is SAG to deal with, contracts, sets, cinematography, makeup, wardrobe, lighting and scripts. Above all else we would need production rights. Those belong solely to Viacom. A contract would have to be signed. One that involves purchasing those rights.
2. Without anyone else, the kickstarter would have to either go the route of Anaxar (do it as a fan film production with the possiblity of seriously angering Viacom) or going the route of actually buying the catalog from Viacom (parent of MTV). Doing this means effectlvely removing all 38 episodes  from them to where? A website someone would have to run 24/7. It would eat serious bandwhich with is also lots of money. this website would have to handle the streaming of the videos in multiples. I have a background in computers. This alone costs $1000s.
3. I believe the catalog would be worth 3 million if I am correct. I have tried to get a straight answer, no one either actually knows or simply wont answer. However, based what I know from friends who do make stuff and what I have seen, Its would cost about $50 grand per episode.That breaks down to $2500 a minute. Why do you think that most online only items like Verizon’s sposnsored ‘Relationship Status’ was on 7 minutes long. (If you love Rita watch them)
4. This isn’t impossible. I just lack the skill or resources to do it myself. Thats why I posted it on my wordpress blog. In hopes people like you and others who do have the resources, live in Hollywood or have contacts can help. I live in Houston, trying to get a job in the aviation or computer industry. Right now I work for a big box chain.

This is where you all come in. Of the people I have talked too about this, most are upset that show is gone and that they want a finish. Few want a book, they want at least a movie or another season. Ok, I agree. How much DO YOU want that movie?  Many have asked what can they do to help? Here you go:

1. If you have a netflix account, go to their customer care and tell them you think they need to have Faking it as a part of their lineup. They are listening intently about this. If they see an audience and believe it will help their bottom line, they will take it. Even if its just to rub MTVs nose in failure. People need to keep pressure on them and they will agree. The thunderclap was a success. However, pressure needs to be maintained. Otherwise, it fades away.
2. Search for faking it on netflix. This is a trackable metric to them and it counts.
3. If you know someone who works in the movie industry, ask them about shows, collect information. Faking it is cheap to produce because its basically just five peoples lives. The wardrobe was from Forever 21 and other mall based stores. The hardest part is getting Bailey, Michael, Gregg, Rita (who apparently hates social media) and Katie in one place. If you know someone who has a SAG-AFTRA account that would be a plus because that would be needed to contract Rita and Gregg’s agents. (the rest are on social media and love the community and support this. This is not to say Rita and Gregg don’t they are just silent about it)
4. Kickstarters need concrete details. http://ift.tt/WQMZvj shows what can be done and how expensive it was. Thats without rights. The show will be impossible to do with Rita and Katie. So both have to be on board or its all for naught.
5. http://ift.tt/1U5rCk8 This article also shows what a kickstarter can do. “The 30-day campaign to raise the funds launched May 17. It had raised $255,853 from 3,273 backers as of 1 p.m. on Saturday, its 17th day.” Note that: 3,273 people raised $255,853 dollars for  Kickstarter Lullaby 
6. Go to that link above, it is the best example of what is being done. Exmaple and ask yourself how much can you afford?  The largest backing group pledged $50.
7. This brings this back to me. I have nothing to offer Faking it related.All of it belongs to MTV.

This is my last post on Faking it. I completed my short story ‘We saw the dream’ and its on Wattpad and Fanfiction.net I might after everything in my life has settled add on. I set it so if I want to or need to I can. However, it works as a much better ending that the one given. No cliffhangers. Why can’t I right more about Karma and Amy now? Outside of rights issues, there are in 2016. My stories are in 2007-2010. I might in the future, just not now.

Quick update on everything

Ok, I kinda broke my nothing outside of the story reality rule on the last post. I really needed to post in an area where everyone could see and get an idea how to move ahead to hopefully save Faking it! Its a good show and it deserves to finish.

This brings me to the topic:

1. Right now MTV studios on both coasts are being sent postcards to the executives to protest the cancelation. Also, the fanbase has alerted Netflix that it thinks Faking It! should continue. Pleasantly, Netflix has been receptive and communicative. They have always taken bold risks especially around House of Cards and Orange is the new black. So this would be leaving 3 million in revenue on the table. ( 0.3 share = 300000 people watching. $10 a piece in subscription fee is 3 million.) Assuming the asking price for the catalog is then it’s break even with the potential for more. We are awaiting their formal response.
2. Hulu on the other hand has basically said they are unsure. Viacom has informed people who I am in contact with that its basically all or nothing with other groups. So the other groups would have to buy the catalog if they are outside the family.
3. Freeform is owned by disney and has rejected any offers. CW has no space and also rejected interest.
4. The kickstarter is still active but I and the others are waiting until its the final option before presuing it. Why? WE would have to form a shell company, convince Viacom that we only want rights to create a 2 hr movie. (effectively 6 episodes). IP licencing would be involved for specific individuals who write, create etc.
5. Finally, if all that fails, then I will integrate them into here formally in a series of free stories to resolve their outstanding arc. I will fullfil the promise Carter made and do his arc because I like it. The only real difference is it will be a world filled with mermaids
6. Right now on the story front, I am doing Amy’s journal. That is a series of 1000 word posts in her voice that are basically a journal of her thoughts on a subject. Right now its dealing with the last canon issue which is forgiveness of Sabrina and Karma’s house burning down. There will be one more dealing with the rest of episode 10 then its back to working on Heartbeat song and Song of Restoration.
7. Amy and Karma actually helped me fill a missing piece. Amy is now and allows me to keep seeing how Tom and Gwen would be now so I can do more foreshadow and developement of them with a eye to the future. Amy looks and acts like Lorelei and this spooks her but in a good way. It tells her she can be anyone she wants. It validates her no labels mantra.
8. This also helps me flesh out Lorelei so her scenes are stronger. Lorelei isn’t Amy but she kinda has most of the same traits. She chose athletics rather than art because she could see everything if she looked hard enough.
9. To sum up, I am in a holding pattern for Faking it! until everyone else decides their course. If Netfix takes it then I am back to where I was with MTV. Mostly unconnected fanfics that are there but not apart of the main body. Otherwise 40,000 words of Karma and Amy and Lauren, Shane and Liam.

Saving Faking it

Ok, so today it was announced by Viacom that Faking it wasn’t renewed because it had such poor ratings according to them. They said that only 330,000 people watched this season. Regardless of the reasons, there is an outpouring of people who don’t want it to die.

I am one of them. However, we can be angry or we can solve this problem. I have a solution as do others. However, I can’t do this alone. My voice here and on line is small because I write. I am not famous. This is a controversial subject that generates backlash.

Nevertheless, this is what I propose and what I plan to do.

I will start a kickstarter to move the rights to us. Apparently people don’t understand what rights mean or simply don’t believe its possible. They are wrong.

1. MTV/Viacom owns the rights. The rights are the ability for Katie and Rita to be Karma and Amy, the names of the places like the ‘brew and chew’, Hester Hight etc. This does include the distribution of the show and the media itsself.
2. We don’t need that. We need the right to make more of Faking it and the right to use the intellectual  property which is exactly what Faking it is to the people who run Viacom.
3. Right now, I believe the writers of Faking Dan steele etc and carter have ideas and plans for Faking it. However, they work just like the guy at the mcdonalds, starbucks target Forever 21 does. This was their job and they were all fired effectively. So this could mean they would be rehired to finish or it can mean we get their stuff only.
4. This isn’t an easy thing I am suggesting. Its a hard, expensive thing That could cost hundreds of thousands. I know that sounds intimidating. But numerous other shows have been produced on Kickstarter. The best example is Veronica Mars. The entire movie budget was funded by 91,585 backers who pledged $5,702,153 to help bring this project to life. http://ift.tt/1dN7Npc also showed that people who love a show can donate to make a copy. This is done so well that Paramount is suing because it looks and sounds better than their once. Problem is they don’t have the right to do it. That’s why I am posting this.
5. So we need to collect the money and then a person we all trust can go to talk to MTV and sign rights transfer documents that would have MTV effectively sell the rights we need to a company that we the fans own.
6. I can set up the kickstarter page and be the tip of the spear but I would need assurances this is a waste of my time.
7. So what needs to be done and how much would it cost?  That depends on what we want? Do you want one final 20 minute (thats how long the show is without commercials) show that gives us #karmy? Or do you want a book?
8. A show requires the sets and clothes, cinematographers etc plus paying Katie and Rita for their time,. This requires scripts to be written and scenes to be show. This would be in the neighborhood of $100,000. (check the axanar link)
9. A book would require significantly less Like $10,000 to secure the publishing rights to use names and locations. I have no issue doing that myself. However, I would be willing to defer to others would be willing to do so. (thoughts on this later down)
10. Once the money came in then the shell holding company can post the video on Youtube so everyone can see and prizes can be had.

Ok, thats all I can really explain. I haven’t heard back from Carter on how much an episode actually cost. I believe it was $45,000. I am going to set up the Kickstarter but I dont want to do that until I have an idea where the money goes. That money has to have a bank account to go into and it can’t be my personal one. This would be you alls money and I am not like that. You are all family.

So here is what I need. I need responses. I need you to comment on what you are willing to do. We need people to are skilled in these areas. People who live in LA. I have 860 following me. I have 50 people who read my fan fic.  The truth is I don’t have the resources to do this alone. I can barely get my own stuff done because its so damn expensive.

MTV doesn’t think anything will change. They don’t care because they know money runs everything so we need to step up. Give up that frappucino or that pair of jeans to support the show.

This here is the saddest part. If nothing changes then I will still continue to include Amy and Karma into my stories. However, they won’t be in any story that I publish for profit. I will create a short story that will effectively wrap up what Carter et all were doing. It will live on Fanfiction.org so you all can read it but thats the best I can offer.

Song of Betrayal can be heard

This is a quick note to let everyone know that Song of Betrayal, that book I am been going on about since I started this blog is finally out. Click the title for the barnes and noble location. I am on Itunes , Kobo , Scribd (where the free documents are stored), Inktera , and 24 symbols as a $1 ebook. (1.99 on itunes as the extra 99 cents is their markup). I get half of this $ as royality.

Its on amazon as well through a diffrent publisher who handles paperbacks. Unfortunately its 269 pages and without all those discounts that big name publishers put on novels, it costs Blurb $32 so it sells for $59. (which is insane as I make NOTHING off it). If you don’t have a amazon visa card and sign up for it they will shave that $50 and give it to you for $9.

New stories in the pipeline. If you are interested in Fan fiction, I reactivated my fanfiction story account and am posting Amy’s journal pages after each episode. (although their won’t be another one until after Faking it! S3E10.

Also more maps. If I make enough I might publish an ebook of maps.

Next stories are Song of Restoration and Heatbeat Song (which will have Lorelei right up to her collaspe the week of the Taft High Massacre). Heartbeat song is first person and I am toying with the idea of making Song of restoration that too. However, Its doubtful because it would delay it for 6 months where as I could get it out by August if I do the final edit.

Lafayette is a place to call home

Ok, this is quick. here below is the new map. Be aware that I deleted the old ones so those posts it will be broken.

To the far right is Downtown Lafayette. LSU-Lafayette is west of that in the green space. Forest Hills is on the left side. The scale is accurate. The road north of the Field is actually two roads that separate not one massive one.

Also, I give you the Antarctic gate exit. In Song of Restoration, the arrival point of the gate is an enclosed space. In the story there is no seeming exit to Antarctica itself. Thats because they are actually underground. So this map is where the underground area leads to the surface. Its not fake.

Finally, since 2010, the Milkhouse is now the HP pavilion and its called Espn Wide world of sports, I included a 2008 map of the place with the former correct names.

I feel like Frodo: The journey so far

Sometimes things just happen. Like you are working on a project and the wheels come off or truma happens unexpectedly. You get delayed, things get lost or worse. Well, as I was setting up this post I noticed its been two years since I announced the novel, ‘Song of Betrayal’

Its been through twists and turns, changes and rests. I have kept moving foward. Even abandoning the dream of pro publishing, I haven’t given up the hope that you all will see it and enjoy. Well as of two days ago, content is fixed. I finished the final draft. All that is left is spell and grammar checks which happen in the final read through. Barring anything spectacular (I have the final draft on several cloud servers and my personal drive), all it needs is a cover and I have pushed my personal gollum into the fires of Mount Doom. He carries with him the ‘ring of editing prefection’.

Nevertheless, there is a caveat. When I did the draft that fused Pyhhric Victory song into the story as the first three chapters it push the word count into the 100k range. Removing that much back out became impossible unlike I orginally believed. In fact, I ended up adding 5000 words to connect that story to the ocean scene at the beginning. So ‘Song of Betrayal is really Pyhhric Victory song and the first four orginal chapters. You see Forest Hills finally, a gate and how the system works.

Song of Restoration will be the rest of the orginal novel; volume 2.5. It will be the heaviest mermaid novel yet. I do need to apologize for that. It seems that in my writing I have shied away for doing the typical underwater mermaid scenes. Gwen is almost always above surface being  a ‘normal’ teen. In truth, most of the assembly upper class is above water 50% time. Having the capital off the coast of Australia while the main town in Lousiana does create issues.  That’s what storytelling is, resolving issues. You will see more underwater as I move forward.

Song of Restoration is how Gwen handles getting Christina’s golden ticket back and her becoming princess because Aria lost it due to that activity and her procrastination. You will get to see the vault of memories, how they manage the dead there, the underwater library, Nascent Island and Tom’s transformation.

That leads to the a few more decisions. When I was doing research for my Faking it story (more on that in a moment), I discovered something quite problematic that I glossed over when I made and corrected the map of Lafayette. As I established it, Booker Field was built first. However, assuming its location is true its a mile from Downtown and a mile from LSU- Lafayette. That means that when the school ceased being a college, the college would have simply bought the stadium et al and used it. Booker field would have been Cajun field. or The Cajun dome would have never been built. These are not things I want either.

So, I moved Forest Hills. Rather than having it on top of Lafayette Middle school and numerous housing plots, I moved it to over Arcadian High School. It blends in to the outskirts better, doesn’t disrupt Congress street and places it far enough away from Taft to make the change viable. (for the record, Lafayette High is Taft in my reality). This time, I took the Kroger and 7-11 that were at the north east corner as well and the housing south and west too. Its about a mile and 1/2 which displaced a school and not much else.

It actually would make sense, because it would develop away from the rest of the city is almost Scott, Louisana and then it would be come the west most high school in the Lafayette Parish school system. Its near a medical center and still north of Acadiana mall.

Finally, I am writing a Faking It! story. As I said before, If I do Karma and Amy now, it would be as if they are meeting Taylor swift. Its not really far to them or my characters. So instead, I am using Bruce’s comment ‘When you were 5 was the worst year’ as the jumping in point. Bruce Cooper is a minor character and Lauren’s father, little is known about him.

I devise that he got a divorce from his wife because of him and his wife couldn’t decide how to handle Lauren’s intersex. He insisted that she be allowed to remain a girl etc (hense the pagents etc). She wanted her to go her own way unbound. However, its unusual for the father to be granted primary custody until the mother is unfit or deceased.

So, when Lauren was five, 2005, Bruce and her got divorced. She got custody and Lauren remained with her in Lafayette where she was a teacher at Taft. Bruce moved to Austin as he was a oil man, (he doesn’t seem to be a coder and the actors previous characters lend to that oil man persona).

The massacre happens and the mother gets killed in an IED blast while Lauren is there. Lauren is injured. Bruce meets Tom in the hospital. This is how Tom gets to Austin.

This story will have #karmy in it. It will have them painting unicorns etc. I will save the surprise for the story.

All the new info I’ve amassed

Ok before I get into this, much sorrow about the terrorist attack in Baghdad. Alot of people in the US doesn’t know or care. I do and its truly heartbreaking that people are being murdered over ideology. Strong suggestion: go watch NCIS:LA seventh child. Last 20 minutes are the most poignent.

So its time to do the big infodump I have been promising. You already know about the Faking It shared space and the the removal of certain artists from the pantheon. The biggest thing is: a new story out set in current time. Plus supporting documentation.

Remember when I said I didn’t have the time to write a christmas story last year. Well, shortly there after, Trans-siberian orchestra’s Ghost of Christmas Eve came on. I enjoy it so much as it reminds me of good times. So I used it as a basis for a story. First, the Idea was that the girl was a lost high house member. Then I decided to place the theater next to the hotel in ‘View from the street’. That lead to placing it on December 20th 2015.

Funny thing is, it doesn’t snow in LA. The movie has heavy snow. So LA got a freak snow storm. Finally, I added Tom and Aria. Yet to keep it with the theme of ‘View from the street’ as well as the rule that any story without song in the title has no sirens in it, I did something unique. I showed how Tom grew in the intervening 7 yrs.

The story is out now on blurb.com Its called Christmas Circle. That link back there will link you to a preview of the entire book. Read, enjoy, toss me some dollars if you want a print copy (they want $5; the price of a Starbucks Frappacino)

As for what is going on with the novel. I am in final stages for ‘Song of Betrayal’. Since splitting the novel in half (as it would have gotton to well over 100k if not) I am aproaching the end of the major edit. It will be in final draft. My reader ( a fellow trusty co worker) is poking at it too. I am hopely looking at it being finally out in the summer (you know how horrible I am on this so its just a promise).

The Other half of the novel is called Song of Restoration. It will deal in the aftermath of Aria’s theft, how Gwen saves Christiana’s career and how she ends up becoming princess. Throw in a ‘Let it go’ style event On Booker Field and you should have an epic finish.

That brings me to Faking it and its tie in to the Song of the assembly. I personally rarely announce that I am linking with a live show simply because its a mine field. This is different.

1. The show is really good. Its topical. It deals with serious teen issues with a teen vibe better than glee did. It takes itself serious yet not so serious to forget itself.
2. Its cohesive. My largest complaint about glee was that. It never remembered what it established. Faking it does and uses it alot to support itself. If the character is poor, she looks poor. If not then not.
3. Its delightful and it makes you think without being overbearing. Its what I want my stories to be like.
4. Finally, its set in Austin and that is doable. You won’t see them as active characters in for profit items.

Of course that doesn’t mean you won’t see them interacting with my characters at all. You will. Matter of fact, Liam’s last name is Booker. Hmm sounds like the name of a certain field. And Liam is rich. Hmm again.

Also, Tom will leave for a month while mourning the passing of Lorelei and arrive in Austin to hang with Zen who he chatted online with. (he was computer buds with Lorelei and Tom). There he will meet Karma and Amy while in their ‘unicorn’ phase ie, 10 yr olds. Sadly this is what leads to Gwen’s disease and why he feels so protective of her. (it’s guilt). It will be first person story told from his pov (and quite possibilty amy and karma’s too) no promises on when its coming.

Finally, I didn’t upload the Michael Cote stuff, but its in Christmas circle so its canon now. Next update.

Quick update :(

I promised the big announcement today or tommorrow. Unfortunately, family circumstances prevented me from gathering everything to post here tonight. So rather than a half ass attempt, I will delay to tommorrow afternoon or Friday depending on how things play out in the morning.

I do have a lot of items to share, and a major update on how things are moving. Also, if you haven’t already go get a scribd.com account (its free) and a blurb.com account (also free). Those will allow access to my stories in the correct format as well and permanently bound copies.

I love telling the stories. I don’t care if they ever make me anything money wise. So I will continue to share them. To do that, I need to put them out there.

Also on a final, poignant side note , I want to say how sad I am about the attack in Brussels. Terrorism like this needs to stop because it achieves nothing other than terror, and death.

 We need to embrace love not hate. All of us. Chief amongst us are those here in the US who are the same faith as them who need to renounce the path of violence. Otherwise, just like Yoda said suffering will continue.

In fact. thats what the warriors of Dagon are about. Hate. You will see that in the books.

New stuff! I’m not Faking It®

Tommorrow or wednesday, I will share all the new stuff I have amassed. Like the kayne west obit, the Michael Cote arrest news story, my new story ‘Christmas Circle’ that was released to the publishers ($5 Blurb only thats bound). Where to get my new extension for Chrome, Opera and Yandex (soon Edge for all you poor souls who didn’t get off the win10 bandwagon before it turned into a prison bus)

However, there is one big reveal I want to share. I still have a love for teen fiction. Whether it’s glee, Friday Night Lights, Popular, High School Musical, Pitch Perfect, Pretty Little Liars etc, I tend to enjoy most of them. Some even help me think, inspire me or even make laugh so much it lifts my mood.

Well, I have been watching Awkward for the last year and been ignoring its mate because I watch other things (usually not on the tv etc) so when I stumbled into Faking It, it was because one trailer (bumper/preview) was too crazy for me to ignore. It made no sense but I was piqued. So I waited and watched the season 3 opener. I’m hooked. So hooked I went back and am plowing through all the previous episodes in a massive binge.

The best part is that Christmas Circle in set christmas 2015. Faking it is set in 2015 in Austin in September. So, I had Tom comment about Karma. You need to read the story to see what he thinks about #Karmy. Nevertheless, it shows my love for the show that its in my shared world. (and its about all I’ll be able to do since Song of Betrayal and Song of Restoration are in 2009)

Brief update

Ok, sorry for the delay. The move took time and that delayed other things, like this.
However, I am still creating. I have a new story set now that involves everyone. Its an update of ‘View of the street’ and its Christmas themed.

Also, I made some more Wikipedia entries. These involve the Grammys. Specifically the 52md on up to now. Song of Betrayal and Song of Reformation (yes I finally named the last half)are set in May 2009 to September 2009. However, Gwen’s first song doesn’t drop until November. That puts her into the 2011 Grammy award period. Nevertheless, I digress.

I hope these Grammy Wikipedia pages (and actual Grammy pages) serve as info tidbits while I finish the story.

Finally, I want to establish a list of all the artists who have been removed from the Assembly reality so there is no confusion when the material is read. This will help me edit and you understand.

1. Katy Perry. As I have said before, her original contract with Pamplin stands as Pamplin was saved from default in 2000. Therefore no pop music from her in 2008, as she would be actively making christian music.
2. Justin Beiber. Codified in the new story what I always wanted. I used the Michael Cote is a pedo and masquerading as Justin Beiber. In fact him and Aria are friends and he writes music for her. If you say the most recent Grammys, then you saw him win for the first time (technically it was in the preshow but there you go). That would be Aria here.
3. Kanye West. He’s been an embarrassment for a while to Taylor Swift and others. However, he wasn’t a problem until the business of dissing her in his new album. So while looking for a way to remove him cleanly, I was handed the most interesting trivia. On Oct. 22nd 2002, he was in a near fatal car accident.I decided that it should have been fatal so in Assembly reality it was. So rather that the 21 Grammys he got a simple 5 second picture flash during the ‘in Memoriam’ of the 45th annual Grammy Awards as a record producer.

There are others that I haven’t finalized, So I will share those when I make the definite list. Its small, for my sake. Every change makes things harder.

Finished chapter 7 so I am now into water scenes again. Close to finishing the first half (ie song of Betrayal) and will have it up and available by midyear.
